woolrich arctic parca woolrich men s parka Samantha McMillen is alright

Theshopkeepers website was kind enough to ask me a few of my personal favorite stores around Los Angeles. A few my very favorites were left off, and so i am including them below:

7971 melrose ave los angeles, ca 90046t.3236557855

The shop is out of this world and laid back. They get a lot of great Isabel Marant and always carry cool brands like Rachel Comey, Hope, Alexander Wang, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Repetto, LD Tuttle, Wood Wood, Opening Ceremony, Acne…and on and on.

451 La Cienega BoulevardWest Hollywood, CA 90048310 652-1120

Opening Ceremony La is kind of saved next to a carwash in a quirky little building which was once owned by Charlie Chaplin. They carry amazing designers that are difficult to find anywhere else like Christopher Kane, Rodarte, Peter Pilotto, Roksanda Ilincic, Charles Anastase and thus a number of other cool brands. Employees is another lot of fun.

To say that Samantha McMillen has great range is a bit of an understatement. Professionally, her work as a high stylist spans the gamut. She understands the nuances of private style, never overshadowing and always improving the individuality of her clients, who are the ever-feminine Dakota and Elle Fanning to the eclectic The actor-brad pitt. Its no surprise that Samanthas favorite local La haunts are a similarly unique mix, including both classic West Coast vintage and modern avant garde style. Between her jam-packed schedule of fittings and blogging, Samantha tipped us off to her favorite shopping spots.

MISTER FREEDOM,7161 Beverly BoulevardLos Angeles, CA

This is no ordinary vintage shop. Its a vintage emporium and also the home from the humble Mister Freedom design space. The exterior of the building continues to be the website of multiple Banksy creations now preserved under non-transparent plexiglass. Who owns Mister Freedom and designer from the label through the same name Christophe Lorian, effortlessly pulls off outfits that will on others, seem forced. Hes the brands most effective advertisement. It could be because his take on work wear is French because he is French and not American. The store is filled with French, Belgian, Japanese and American vintage finds that span the decades and vary from military uniforms, super cool naval stuff, work wear of all sorts, denim in all forms jackets, shirts, waistcoats, jeans work boots, cowboy boots and engineer boots, rare vintage Levis, Lee, and buckle back jeans, rare sunglasses, bandanas, vintage t-shirts, French stripe boat-necks and, obviously, many of the Mister Freedom collection items. Its overwhelming at first…but woolrich arctic parca simply start going through it and its amazing what woolrich arctic parca will find.

FILTHMART,1038N. Fairfax Ave, La, CA

Mike Sportes and Maggie Fox a married couple are owners of this excellent vintage shop thats off the beaten path. They are what some call t-shirt whisperers as they possess a gift for locating amazing vintage blank Ts and rare vintage rocknroll Ts. Their adoration for t-shirts prompted them to design the perfect blank crew and v-neck Ts. They also carry a lovely, but very hip and bohemian childrens line that Maggie designs calledLittle Warriors.
